3rd to 6th Class School Tour to Lismore
Our 3rd to 6th class pupils had an earlier start than normal on May 17th and journeyed to Lismore for their school tour. The day began with a historical walk around The Towers and the children learned a lot of information about Lismore and the families who lived there. The pupils went on a 'bug hunt' using pooters and a key and also took part in a role play on the life of Anglo Irish landlord Arthur Kiely-Usher and his family. We were lucky that it stayed dry for our walk as the rain began on our way back to the town. We took our picnic lunch indoors and then enjoyed an afternoon of STEM activities and Science experiments in the Heritage Centre which definitely brought a ‘wow’ factor to the day. A very enjoyable day was had by all. Thanks to Cotters Coaches for transporting us there and back in comfort and safety.
