Knockavilla National School has been involved in the Agri Aware Incredible Edibles project for a long number of years, and this year it is 4th class who will lead the initiative. On our return to school, we got to work immediately on the task of planting a selection of vegetables and fruit. We had strawberry plants and seed potatoes to set, and we sowed carrot, turnip, chive, spinach and lettuce seeds. For now, we have our plants and seeds in pots for indoor care, and after Easter we will plant them out in the school garden. We are hoping for a fine harvest of our produce in June.
