Beannachtaí na Cásca Oraibh go Léir
Happy Easter to all our pupils, past-pupils, their parents, families and friends.
Easter Sunday is a happy day for Catholics and all Christians because we believe that Jesus rose from the dead on this day. Jesus' resurrection shows that death is not the end of everything. On Easter Sunday we go to Mass to thank God for Jesus' life. Church bells ring out and the church is decorated with flowers such as white lilies which are associated with Easter. The colours in the church change to white or gold - colours of happiness and celebration. Easter is a time of great joy, happiness, hope and love. It is the most important celebration in the Church year.
This year we are celebrating Easter in lockdown once again. Many of us have not been able to visit our grandparents and other family members for many months now. This has been very difficult for us and for them, but we know that we must do this to keep ourselves and others safe and healthy. Well done to all of you for thinking of others - that is one of the great messages of Easter.
Enjoy this time you have with your families as you celebrate the joy of Easter.
Go n-éirí libh,
Eleanor Ní Dhuibhir
