Book Collection on Monday January 11th to Facilitate Remote Learning
Dear Parents/Guardian,
Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhaoibh go léir.
Unfortunately, now that we should be thinking about going back to school in Scoil Mhuire in January 2021, we are in lockdown again!
This means that we will be engaging in remote learning once more. In the last term every child became familiar with the Class Dojo learning platform and this is the platform we will use in the coming weeks -until we can meet face-to-face once more.
In order to facilitate this learning, each child will need her/his schoolbooks. The pupils, in the interest of health and safety, have kept their books in class during the first term. The teachers have prepared each child’s books for collection. They will be available to parents/guardians at the school on Monday 11th.
In order to facilitate the safe collection of your child’s school books, we have organised time slots based on surnames.
Arrangements for Book Collection on Monday 11th January.
Surnames A - B 11.15am
Surnames C – F 11.45pm
Surnames G – H 12.15pm
Surnames I – M 12.45pm
Surnames N – Q 1.15pm

Important
- Parents/Guardians will collect the books from the teachers at the school gate (main gate). There will be no entry into the school grounds.
- Parents/guardians are asked to physically distance themselves and wear masks in line with HSE guidelines. Please do not gather in small groups.
- During the coming weeks, the emphasis of remote learning will be upon English, Irish and Maths. Not all schoolbooks will be going home.
- Please, in the interest of safety for all, keep to your surname slot. If, for some unavoidable reason, you cannot collect your child’s books on this day contact the school office on Monday from 11am – 2pm and we will do our best to safely organise another collection time for you.
Thank you all for your co-operation in this matter. I know these are worrying times, but we can all come through it safely if we continue to observe the advice being given to us by the scientific and health experts.
Keep safe and well.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Eleanor Ní Dhuibhir
