The Class are reading and listening to an Audiobook, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone at the moment. We are creating a wizarding world in the classroom and on World Book Day we focused on the Hogwarts invitation letter and creating a wand for each student.
The highlight of the day was when each pupil, just like every Hogwarts student, donned the Sorting hat and waited anxiously to see what house each fitted best with. It was an even mix with students from all four houses and a few teachers even took their turn with the hat.
We then created our own platform 9 3/4 and packed our bags to board the Hogwart's Express with Hedwig and Crookshanks.
This is the best way to end each day according to some students, as we all enjoy having this story read to us before home time.
