We enjoyed some glorious sunshine to round off the year in Rang a Ceathair and we really made the most of it.
We completed our rounders tournament which saw Daria's team narrowly beating Shane's team by 15 runs to 14. Great fun was had by all. We took a picnic lunch in the outdoor classroom and played a few games of Duck Duck Goose.
We made paper aeroplanes in science and took them outside to experiment with flying them in to the wind and against the wind. Cathal's plane won 'Furthest Flight' and Daria's won 'Longest Time in the Air'.
As a special treat, after a year of great work and lots of fun, we enjoyed a sweet chocolate treat on our last afternoon. The children really deserved this for their dedication to work all year, especially between Christmas and Easter, and for their positive attitude, excellent manners and respect for each other and their teacher, and the wonderful sense of 'together' which we felt this year.
