Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining
4th Class have settled back very smoothly into life at Scoil Mhuire and are really working hard at keeping themselves, and each other, safe. The routines of morning, hand washing, sanitising, breaks and home time have become second nature to them and they are doing a wonderful job.
We have been talking a lot about our time away from school over the last few months, and its impact on our lives. We talked about the ‘new normal’ and the changes we have had to make to adapt. We talked about how different our country was and how we felt during this strange time in our lives. We looked at the many things we had been doing to fill our days. We focussed on the positives and found that each of us had done lots of fun and memorable things with our families. We wrote these on strips of coloured paper, to reflect the idea of a rainbow, and attached them to the cloud, which represented Covid-19 hanging over us. This gave us our ‘Every Cloud has a Silver Lining’ display.
