We kicked off this month learning about St Brigid and singing our song to her. We stepped into spring learning all about mothers and their babies, making up spring poems, learning about spring on the farm, an leabhair “Feirm Daideo”, animal sounds quiz, how daffodils grow and we painted daffodils and spring patchwork pictures in art class.
As Gaeilge bhí spoirt againn ag foghlaim na frásaí a bhíonn ag baint leis an teilifís agus leis an bhfeirm trí cluichí ar an idirlíon agus dramaí beaga. In drama we went on a carpet ride with our partners and played the role of people in our community. In Oral Language lessons we delved into the language associated with the garden centre and the vet clinic. In PE we continued our work on gymnastics travelling in 10 different ways across the benches. We were 'hands-on' in maths as we measured the length of different surfaces around the school, practiced our number facts though hopscotch games and we were busy putting our brains to work on Puzzle Friday. We’ve begun to do some mindfulness activities in SPHE and focused this month on meditation. A busy, busy month indeed!
