First Holy Communion

20th Oct 2021

A very big congratulations to our 14 3rd Class pupils who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday, 16th October. It was a very special day for our school and parish community and we want to compliment the children for their prayerful and respectful preparation.

Go raibh míle míle maith agaibh to 3rd Class Teacher, Mrs Healy, and SNA, Joanne, for the work they put in to making this day a reality for these children. We also thank 2nd Class Teacher, Ms Dunne, who began the work of First Holy Communion preparation with these pupils in 2nd Class. Ms Dunne and her sister, Sarah, provided the music for the celebration which was particularly beautiful. We acknowledge the part played by all our school staff in the lives of our pupils.  We thank Fr Egan for his words of inspiration and kindness to the pupils.

Thank you to the families of the pupils for encouraging and helping these wonderful children as they make their journey through life. May they always follow God's path and may He keep them safe in His loving arms.  This is a  very important event in your child's life and I know you will have marked it in a very special way.

Thank you to the Parents Association for organising the card giving again this year and for the lovely goodie bags which were given to the children by KNSPA Chairperson, Patricia Burke.

Finally, the biggest thank you of all to Aaron, Ben, Callum, Charlie, Emma, Frankie, Grace, Leah, Louise, Michael, Ródhan, Sophia, Thomas B and Thomas T for being truly amazing and fantastic children who we are so very proud of here at Scoil Mhuire.  Comhghairdeas mór libh go léir.
