Pupils and staff of Scoil Mhuire invited Fr Egan to celebrate our end of year mass on Wednesday June 28th. Our 6th class pupils participated in their final mass and did the readings, prayers and reflection. Some of our 2nd class pupils performed Mo Ghile Mear on the tinwhistle.
At the end of Mass we presented Fr Egan with a hand made card and fingerprint tree to mark the very special occasion of his Golden Jubilee. We then invited Fr Egan to plant an irish birch tree in the grounds of the school in acknowledgement of how he has helped our school and pupils to grow over his time in the parish.
We wish Fr Egan well and ask God to continue to support him in his vocation.
