This year the class began their novel at home. It was a change from the usual novels because we had to listen to an audio book and watch the story on video. Our teacher, Ms Healy, selected Hotel Flamingo by Alex Milway. It was about a run down hotel for animals. There were lots of colourful characters and we all had our favourites. Madame Le Pig was popular but Mr T. Bear was also a favourite. The class created their own hotels and we displayed them on our Animal Boulevard .
For many of us it was the first time listening to an audio book but we all agreed that it was excellent and we will have to do it again.
This book is one of a set of four and there is even a new free book ' Hotel Flamingo in Lockdown', available on the internet. We will check it out after Easter.
