KNSPA – information evening
National Parents Council Primary (NPC) Tipperary County Branch Presents:
‘Parenting – Supporting your child to build healthy friendships & relationships’
Venue: Horse and Jockey Hotel
Date: Thursday 16th November 2017
Time: 7.30pm
The overall aim of this programme is to help parents or guardians in their role in parenting their children to have healthy friendships and relationships at home and in their personal lives.
The programme informs parents or guardians about what is taught in relationships and sexuality education (RSE) and the approach that is used by the teacher. It enables parents to have a clear understanding of the content of the RSE part of the Social Personal Health Education (SPHE) curriculum.
Feedback from parents who have attended the course in the past:
* It was great to be with other parents and share similar experiences and worries as well as being able to exchange opinions and advice with each other.
* I was happy to take home DVD’s and brochures at the end of the session to help me digest all the information.
* I have a new found self confidence, not being afraid to air my point of view.
The evening will commence with a brief introduction to NPC and the election of NPC Assembly representatives
ADMISSION FREE!
All parents of primary school children are welcome.
