We here in Scoil Mhuire hope that you - all our pupils and their families - are well and taking good care of yourselves.
We are now entering our third week of physical distancing due to Covid-19. This week the school website has been reorganised to include a ‘Home Activities’ tab at the top of the page. Under this tab you will find educational activities which have been set by the teachers for our pupils.
We understand that due to the unusual circumstances we are all experiencing at this time some people may not be able to do these activities with their children. If this is the case please do not feel under pressure to do so. I am sure that you are engaging your child in many exciting learning opportunities already. These additional activities we have set are designed to offer the children opportunities to practice the skills they have learned in school with their teachers. We hope they will be of benefit to you and your children.
Also remember that RTÉ will be broadcasting an educational programme aimed at primary school children starting tomorrow morning at 11am. There will also be a follow-up programme in the afternoon. Also, there are many wonderful nature and science programmes being aired on our airwaves at the moment. Many of these are very suitable for children.
