A very busy and festive December was enjoyed by all in Room 2. We have practiced our 'prediction' skills listening to wonderful stories and tested our tangram skills with shape puzzles and quizes. The outdoor classroom was used when weather permitted to practice our Christmas songs and phonics jingles. The Halla was also a fantastic resource for P.E songs and action rhymes.
We had lots of fun preparing for the Christmas season with an emphasis on the Nativity and the spirit of love, joy and peace we hope to spread to all we make contact with in unconventional ways this year.
The children created beautiful nativity scenes, made decorations and Christmas cards. They also employed their detective and artictic skills to create a playdoh object that they guessed made the mysterious 'thump, thump' noise in the story 'Oliver All Alone'.
Bhí rannta agus scéalta againn faoi Daidí na Nollag agus an Crann Nollag sa bhaile. Our Sing-Song on the last day of school in our festive clothes wrapped up a happy term. Nollag Shona dhiaibh go léir, wishing you all a very Happy Christmas.
