Our themes for the month of May were Clothes, Money, The Weather and The Zoo. We tested clothing material in science and did an experiment with our coats. We then designed our own coats in art class. Chuireamar eadaí eagsúla ar puipéad agus d'éisteamar le scéal faoi eadaí scoile. With money we bought items in our “shop” with our coins and worked in pairs figuring out sums with our coins. We looked at the origins of the coins and in art we drew some of their emblems. We looked at all the weather types, recorded our weather observations, sang weather songs and looked at extreme weathers around the world. We created our own weather wheel and in drama we pretended to be weather forecasters. D'fhoghlaim an rang faoin zú agus na hainmhithe atá ina gconaí ann. We learned how to care for the animals on the zoo and the conservation programme in Dublin Zoo. In SPHE we delved into our Stay Safe Programme which was a very important part of our work this month. It was a busy busy month and we look forward to an exciting last month ahead.
