My Memory Book/Box
We are all living in very unusual times! The Corona Virus has forced us all to take a break from our usual lives. While there are lots of activities we cannot do, there are many lovely activities we are able to take part in now that we may not have done before.
As we have lots of free time, wouldn’t it be a good idea to keep an account of what we are doing at home with our family during these weeks – the games we play, the books we read, the chats we have on the phone with our grannies and grandads, our aunties and uncles, our cousins and friends.
We can keep this account in many different ways. We can write about it or draw pictures of it or do a combination of both. We could take photographs. We could even make voice recordings of our stories and save them on a USB stick.
We could put these accounts, or memories, together in a copy book or a scrap book or a shoe box. Maybe everyone in the family- your Mammy, Daddy, sisters and brothers - could put accounts into this ‘Memory Book/Box’! In that way you and your family will have a really interesting history of your activities and thoughts during this time in Ireland.
This will be a lovely memory for you to look back on in years to come. It will be a historical document – your own family heirloom!
