On Wednesday April 3rd Noeleen Doyle, Schools and Youth Fundraising Officer in Concern, visited Scoil Mhuire. Noeleen came to Knockavilla to thank the pupils and staff for their wonderful contribution of 1500 euro to Concern. This money was raised last December during the Christmas Fast and the Cake Sale.
Noeleen, a former Primary Teacher, explained to the children how their generosity has helped children and people in the Developing World. Everyone learned a lot about how very little money can make great improvements in the lives of ordinary people in poorer parts of the world and in countries and areas which have experienced disasters.
We were delighted to have Noeleen visit us and tell us about Concern's work. We hope we will always be generous toward people who need our help.
