November i Seomra a Dó
Bhí mí an bríomhar againn an Samhain seo len ár ndalta Iníon Uí Slatara. Le puipéid is le trollaí siopadóireachta rinne sí sár iarracht an Ghaeilge agus gach abhar eile a mhúineadh. The children learned about the saints. They remembered and prayed for those who have died in a special way with stories, activities and a prayer service. They learned about people that help us in the community and they composed their own sound stories using vocal percussion.
Science, Geography and History were brought to life as the children learned about school long ago and even made butter from cream!
We had lots of fun learning about 2D Shapes and measuring in length. Lots of fun was had with a mini-sports day in the Halla including a ‘Spud and Spoon’ race; and imaginations were ignited with Drama and storytelling, including a still image of a scene from the poem ‘When Dad fell into the Pond’. Art was a vibrant mix of materials, making Octopusses and Snazzy Snails. Lots of learning and fun was had in Room 2 in November.
