What a super October we have had, celebrating the changing landscape and seasonal changes all around us. With rhymes, songs and stories we traced the journey of the swallow from our 'telephone wires' all the way to South Africa. While out on our scavenger hunt we explored the school environment and found interesting signs of Autumn. We have been focusing a lot on revising our sounds and our tricky word boxes with senior infants this month and on our jolly phonics spellings and grammar in first class.
Bhí béim an mí seo ar scéalaíocht agus bhaineamar sult as " Grainne Gráinneog", "Cailí an Caillleach Corcra" agus " Óiche Shamhna". We learned all about our bones in science and we pieced together our skeletons in art class. We enjoyed the run up to Hallowe'en with ghostly songs, dances, games and ghoulish gatherings including our annual trip to Mrs Dalton's room. Sinister shapes were studied in Maths and quizzes were completed in groups on the laptops.
