Room 2 Explores our Class, our School and our Community
We have been very busy in Seniors and First learning about the people in our own room, mapping the layout of our fabulous school and appreciating the services available in our local village.
The boys and girls have written about themselves and their classmates, examined the school grounds and drawn maps in pairs. We enjoyed maths puzzles about 'Block Street' and listened to a classic Sesame Street song about 'The People in our Neighbourhood'.
Each pupil did a wonderful job helping to name the people and services in the village of Dundrum and in the town of Cashel. It was satisfying to acknowledge all the essential and beneficial services right at our doorsteps.
Bhíomar ag caint faoi Fear agus Bean an Phoist is na litreacha agus post specíalta a bheidh á sheóladh againn i gceann cúpla seachtainn.
We also learned how to travel safely on short and long journeys on foot or in a vehicle with the help of the 'Safe Cross Code' and the 'Seatbelt Sheriff' - so we know how to keep ourselves and our families safe this winter. Let's all remember to 'Buckle Up!' even on the shortest of journeys and of course 'Know the Code!' to cross the road.
