This month we were thrilled to return to school and meet all our friends and teachers again. We had a very busy month of school work with lots of fun along the way.
We welcomed spring with a nature walk around our beautiful school grounds and we were delighted to visit our new outdoor classroom! On our walk we noticed the flowers growing and the leaves beginning to grow on the trees. We discussed what plants need to grow. We grew our own cress heads.
We learnt about the lifecycle of a frog and have been enjoying visiting our outdoor classroom to observe the lifecycle in action! We constructed our own frogs and drew the lifecycle.
I rith Seachtain na Gaeilge, bhí alán imeachtaí ar siúl i Seomra a Dó! Bhíomar ag foghlaim damhsa (An Haka) agus dánta (A hAon, a Dó, a Trí) agus bhí an-spórt againn! We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with story, song (Lá 'le Pádraig), dance, flag-making and we even participated in a 'Virtual Parade' - which was part of the school's entry into the Cashel Virtual Parade!
In the lead up to Easter, we learnt all about Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday and the importance of remembering Jesus and saying our prayers at this special time. We also had fun creating Easter chicks and enjoyed an Easter egg hunt around the school!
We look forward to the Summer term in Seomra a Dó!
