Tadpoles in the Outdoor Classroom
Rang a Trí went for a nature walk around the school. The class searched for signs of spring. The best signs to be found were our tulips and daffodils. They were planted after we made our First Holy Communion in October and are now in bud at the back of the school. We looked at all the new trees which were ready for planting. They were tricky to identify but we investigated and found out what each one was.
We made our way to the outdoor classroom and checked out the frog spawn. It is no longer spawn but now there are lots of hungry tadpoles! We helped our teacher create a bigger home for them, with lots of food, water and space. We will look after them for the next few weeks and observe all the changes that may take place. We are very lucky to have all the great and nature areas space around the school in which we can play and learn.
