On February 14th we had a very special visitor in Scoil Mhuire. Sinéad, from Concern came to the school to thank the pupils and staff for their great work on behalf of Concern and the people of the Developing World.
She explained to the children how their recent donation of 1505 euro is helping to bring essential services to children in refugee camps in the Lebanon, where hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees now live in very basic conditions. The pupils explained to Sinéad how they had taken part in the annual Concern Fast before Christmas. She was especially impressed with the pupils in the senior classes who had organised the very successful Cake Sale in the school hall.
