Water Safety
The pupils of Scoil Mhuire are all set for the summer.
After a day of training they will be able to notice all the possible dangers around rivers, lakes and the sea. The children now know that they should look for signs, lifeguards and flags before swimming. We learned about how important a life jacket is around water and how important life bouy rings are. We are also aware of the dangers of rip currents in the sea and how dangerous floats and boogie boards are in water.
We are ready to safely put on flip flops, sun cream, hats, grab the buckets and spades and head to 'An Trá'. Now that the summer holidays are here let's hope we will get plenty of opportunities to visit the beach.
