3rd and 4th class have been focusing on beat and rhythm in music class. We learned a lively song about the weather during our study of the theme of An Aimsir during the month of January called 'When It's a Sunny Day'. We followed up with this song by using it to create percussion accompaniment using our bodies, e.g. clapping, stamping our feet, tapping our heads, clicking our fingers. We had a lot of fun and we have noticed that having a better understanding of beat and rhythm has improved our performance on the tin whistle also.
